about me

My name is Maggie Sunshine Wallace, here is a little about me.

I hold a degree in Anthropology from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, with minors in Art History, Fine Art, and Archaeology. I also hold a certificate in Esthetics from the Aveda Institute of Minneapolis. After completing my education at the Aveda Institute of Minneapolis, I became a licensed Esthetician and have now been in the field for almost a decade.

I was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. Growing up, I struggled with acne and searched endlessly for products that could help. Unfortunately, most only made things worse—stripping my skin and leaving it feeling compromised. Eventually, I turned to my aunt, a well-established Esthetician in Colorado, for guidance. With her help, I learned the power of regular facials, mindfulness around food sensitivities, and maintaining a balanced skincare routine. That experience sparked my passion for helping others feel confident in their own skin.

My career has included work in medical esthetics within a dermatology clinic, as well as experience with many, many different skincare lines. These experiences have led me to where I am today, and the core belief that: the main goal with skin is always balance. Today, so many products strip the skin and remove it’s natural barrier, perpetuating skin problems. Furthermore, so much of what is in highly produced products contains more than half fillers and preservatives. Instead of participating in this never ending cycle, I handcraft my own in-house masks and treatments using organic, non-GMO, and plant-based ingredients.

At Sunshine Esthetics, I believe everyone deserves to feel confident in their skin. I welcome all skin types and conditions, with the goal of helping each person feel truly beautiful.
